Senate elections another triumph of democracy: President

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated the nation and the newly elected Senators saying that election of the Upper House of the Parliament on Friday was yet another triumph of democracy.

In his message of felicitation to the newly elected Senators, President Zardari said that the successful completion of Senate election has proved that democracy was functional and the policy of reconciliation was also showing results.
