T-Series removes songs of Pakistani singers from YouTube post Pulwama attack

Indian music label T-Series has taken down songs of Pakistani singers from their YouTube channel post Pulwama attack, after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party demanded them to stop working with Pakistani artistes.

“T-Series has already removed Pakistani artists' videos from their various channels from February 15 and has decided to ban them all in future,” Amey Khopkar, President of MNS Chitrapat Sena, told IANS.

“We have verbally communicated to Indian music companies like T-Series, Sony Music, Venus, Tips Music etc to not work with Pakistani singers. These companies should stop it immediately or we will take action in our own style,” Amey added.

Just a day before the attack, T-series has released Pakistani singer Atif Aslam's new single ‘Baarishein’ on YouTube. The song features ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ actor Nushrat Bharucha alongside Atif. The song crossed over a million views on YouTube in just about five hours of its release.

T-Series has also unlisted the Atif’s song from their YouTube channel.
