Chinese contractor warned to ensure cleanliness in Malir zone

Managing Director (MD) Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) Taha Ahmad Farooqui on Sunday warned the Chinese contractor to ensure cleanliness in Malir Zone threatening to take action against him if failed to do so within the next three days.
During his visit to Quaidabad, Dawood Roundabout, UC-6, and Feature Mor, Taha Ahmad observed dilapidated situation of cleanliness as heaps of garbage on sides of roads, on empty plots, and streets were seen, engendering the health of citizens. He asked the Chinese contractor for removing the garbage within next three days, otherwise the SSWMB would be left with no choice but to take action against the company as per the agreement. Secretary Board Nadir Khan, the Chinese Contractor, Deputy Director Wasiq Zafar and other officials accompanied with the MD during the visit.
In order to entertain the citizens' complaints, the MD directed the contractor to set up command and control centre besides installing trackers in the garbage transporting vehicles.
