On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,485. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 6.103 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,714. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.654 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.790 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 483.607 million, silver PKR 296.135 million, copper PKR 217.941 million, SP500 PKR 188.671 million, natural gas PKR 166.950 million, platinum PKR 111.380 million, DJ PKR 100.327 million, Brent PKR 53.363 million and NSDQ100 PKR 40.410 million.
