Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has designated Registrar of Companies as the Registrar of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).
According to the SRO 655 (I)/2018 issued by the SECP here on Monday, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 52 read with section 42 of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2017 (the Act), the SECP has designated Registrar of Companies to be the Registrar of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) and appointed additional registrars, joint registrars, deputy registrars and assistant registrars performing duties and functions under the Companies Act, 2017, as additional registrars, joint registrars, deputy registrars and assistant registrars of LLPs for the proper administration of the Act.
The SECP has also notified cities having jurisdiction extended to Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) having registered offices in the territories specified as LLP Registration Offices for registration of LLPs and performing other duties.
Under the SRO 656 (I)/2018 issued here on Monday, the SECP has notified that in exercise of the powers conferred by section 52 of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2017 (the "Act") read with regulation 30 of Limited Liability Partnership Regulations, 2018, the SECP notified the places specified with jurisdiction extending to Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) having registered offices in the territories specified in as LLP Registration Offices for registration of LLPs and performing other duties under the Act:-
Faisalabad: The jurisdiction of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) has been extended to areas of civil divisions of Faisalabad and Sargodha except district of Bhakkar in the province of Punjab.
Gilgit: The jurisdiction of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) has been extended to all districts of the region of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Islamabad: The jurisdiction of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) has been extended to areas of Civil Division of Rawalpindi in the Province of Punjab and the Islamabad Capital Territory.
Karachi: The jurisdiction of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) has been extended to areas of civil divisions of Karachi, Hyderabad and Mir Pur Khas, district of Sanghar in the Province of Sindh.
Lahore: The civil divisions of Lahore and Gujranwala, districts of Sahiwal and Pakpattan except tehsil of Chichawatni in the province of Punjab.
Multan: The jurisdiction of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) has been extended to areas of civil divisions of Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan, district of Bhakkar and tehsil of Chichawatni in the Province of Punjab.
Peshawar: The province of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas to which the executive authority of the Province of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa extends.
Quetta: The Province of Balochistan and the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas to which the executive authority of the Province of Balochistan extends.
Sukkur: The jurisdiction of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) has been extended to areas of civil divisions of Sukkur, Larkana and Shaheed Benazirabad except district of Sanghar in the province of Sindh.
