The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday welcomed news that the name of General Asad Durrani (retd) will be put on the Exit Control List (ECL). While addressing a press conference, PTI Central Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry said that Durrani is a controversial personality who has leveled allegations against various national institutions. He observed that like the retired General, Nawaz Sharif also betrayed his oath by disclosing national secrets and fabricating stories against the national institutions. "In the whole process, the country's image was tainted," he added.
He believed that the Nawaz's narrative is more dangerous than the writings of Durrani, and demanded trail of the ousted prime minister under the Govt Official Secret Act.
