Eid holidays: need to prevent transporters from extra fares

Transport and Mass Transit Department of Sindh has advised the concerned authorities to constitute monitoring committees to check fares one week before Eid-ul-Fitr holidays and to prevent transporters from charging any extra fare against the fixed fares by the government and report should be sent on daily basis.
The department has noted that Eid is commencing within three weeks and people travel to their loved ones to celebrate Eid together. But there is a trend during this period that the transporters increase fares at their own level causing extra burden on the travellers. The department's prime duty is to provide maximum relief to the public/ travellers and to prevent transporters from increasing the fares without any authority.
