Chief of the Army Staff has congratulated the "brave tribes of erstwhile FATA on its mainstreaming through merger," saying this would facilitate bringing enduring peace, stability and socio-economic development in the area. Quoting the ISPR, Aaj News reported on Monday that the army chief expressed these views, speaking to Fata Youth Jirga's members who called on him on Monday.
"You, the youth, is future of Pakistan. Please come forward and play your positive role," he urged, urging them to participate in political and democratic efforts.
The CoAS asked the youth to be aware of inimical forces which were trying to create and exploit fault lines. He urged them to stay united and steadfast. He stressed we have to rise and expressed hope God willing, we (Pakistanis) would rise. He alerted that inimical forces were trying to reverse the successes but they would not be allowed to waste the peace.
