EU rapeseed oil prices rise

EU rapeseed oil asking prices were raised on Tuesday, boosted partly by weakness of the euro, while sluggish demand weighed on Malaysian crude palm oil. Prices for rapeseed oil were raised by 4 euros a tonne as the European currency fell to its lowest level this year against the dollar.
Crude palm oil offers were cut by $2.50 to $10 a tonne as speculation about weaker demand so far this month helped to stall the recent advance in Malaysian futures. Malaysian markets are closed on Wednesday because of a public holiday for the country's election.
Palmkernel oil and coconut oil asking prices were mostly higher but activity was subdued, with buyers content to remain on the sidelines.
