On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,442. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 3.995 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,879. Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 1.476 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.150 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 536.223 million, platinum PKR 302.161 million, SP500 PKR 158.966 million, NSDQ100 PKR 153.058 million, DJ PKR 115.264 million, silver PKR 52.961 million, copper PKR 24.619 million, natural gas PKR 19.659 million and Brent PKR 5.328 million. In agricultural commodities, 27lots of cotton amounting to PKR 18.068 million were traded.
