A student who shot dead four people and injured seven others at a home and a school in the remote Canadian indigenous community of La Loche was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison. Under the terms of the concurrent sentence, he would not be eligible for parole for at least 10 years. The young man, who cannot be identified under Canadian law, was only 17 years old in January 2016 when he shot dead two teenage brothers at their home before going to a nearby school and shooting to death two teachers.
