Foreign Office on Sunday condemned the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir, urging the Indian government to put an immediate end to the massacre of Kashmiri people. Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal took to the Twitter on Sunday to strongly condemn the killing of more than 10 Kashmiri people by Indian troops in the latest clashes in the IoK.
"The killing spree unleashed by the Indian occupation forces in IoK is reprehensible and is unequivocally condemned. India needs to put an immediate end to the massacre of Kashmiris", he stated in a tweet.
He urged that the fact finding missions of OHCHR [UN High Commissioner for Human Rights] and IPHRC [OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission] must visit IoK and witness and report on the abysmal human rights situation on the ground. In yet to another tweet, the spokesperson said: "more than 10 Kashmiris viciously slaughtered by Indian forces in IoK today (Sunday)-India continues to mock human rights by violating the most basic right to life on flimsy pretext of terrorism".
He further tweeted: "Baseless labelling of Kashmiris demanding legitimate right to self-determination and their vicious genocide in IoK by India makes a mockery, not only of the human rights charter, but all those who sacrificed combating terrorism. Indian terrorism continues to extract its toll".
