Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday suffered an irreparable loss as former stalwart Wasay Jalil tendered resignation with immediate effect. Jalil shared the news on popular micro-blogging website Twitter. "With heavy heart I tender my resignation from MQM with immediate effect. I am thankful to F&L Altaf Hussain for giving me responsibilities of member CCC/TownMayor. I Request to all Mohajirs to leave aside their differences & get united. 'I am not going to join any pol or rel org'."
Jalil made it overtly clear that he would not join any religious of political outfit of Pakistan in the near future. He urged all factions of MQM to unite for the greater good of Mohajir community. He warned those who were trying to exterminate Mohajirs that they would not succeed in their cause as only God had the power to do so.
