General Secretary ANP, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that for the establishment of peace in the region there is no other big weapon than education and tolerance, saying that in the prevailing circumstances democracy and politics and the whole nation is confronted with various challenges.
Addressing the golden jubilee function of Pakhtun Students Federation (PkSF) in International Islamic University, Islamabad, he said that the prevailing circumstances the responsibilities of the students become double. Senior ANP activist, Afrasiab Khattak and district president, Mardan, Himayatullah Mayar also addressed the function.
He urged the PkSF affiliated students to feel their collectively responsibilities while keeping their traditions and history before them. Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that PkSF has played the role of the frontline squad and nursery of ANP, saying the philosophy of Bacha Khan is investment on the youth to turn them into useful citizens.
He said that ANP during its stint in power had given priority to the resolution of the problems of students and will also continue the raising for their rights in future too. The ANP stalwart termed the holding of the history of gathering of Pakhtuns in the federal capital Islamabad as welcoming and laudable.
He said that if Pakhtuns become united for their rights then difficulties can be subsided. H said that Bacha Khan has guided Pakhtuns through his ideology, which can become over-lasting guideline. He termed the passage of 18th Constitutional Amendment a victory of the followers of Bacha Khan and they will not allow its revoking as it has become the matter of life and death for them.
