Rs 2.531 billion for Elections 2018-19

The government budgeted Rs 2.531 billion for the year 2018-19 to conduct elections against the revised allocation of Rs 8.998 billion - a reduction of 71 percent. The government budgeted Rs 2.348 billion for elections for the current fiscal year which was later revised upward to Rs 8.998 billion. The government budgeted Rs 984.6 million as operating expenses for the current fiscal year which was revised upward to Rs 7.6 billion in the revised estimates. The budgeted amount under this head for 2018-19 is Rs 1.05 billion.
