Traders, industrialists, lawyers, students and civil society members took out protest rallies, staged demonstration and observed Black Day to condemn the recent incident of violence and massacre by Indian occupational forces in held Kashmir here on Friday.
The major rally which was taken out by students, lawyers and citizens at the call of Jammu Kashmir Movement burnt Indian flag outside the district council Chowk. Another solidarity rally was taken out by Anjuman e Tajran Supreme Council and Kashmir Ittihad Group that demonstrated at Chowk Clock Tower to condemn the recent incident of massacre by Indian forces in held Kashmir. The rally was led by Haji Muhammad Aslam Bhalli and Malik Salamit Ali.
Furthermore, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) observed 'Black Day' to condemn the recent incident of massacre by Indian occupational forces in held Kashmir.
President FCCI Shabbir Hussain Chawla, who led demonstration, said that India has deployed more than a 1,000,000 strong force to suppress the uprising in held Kashmir. He said that the people of Kashmir are demanding their right of self determination but India is suppressing their internationally acknowledged movement.
He said that United Nations has accepted the fundamental rights of Kashmiris but India has refused to implement the UN resolution which is a major cause of concern for the people demanding their fundamental right of self determination. He said that it is very disturbing situation that Indian forces are killing generation after generations of Kashmiris in order to convert the Muslim majority into minority. He said that in a recent offensive at least 18 innocent Kashmiris were martyred.
He said that people of Pakistan are standing with their Kashmiris brethrens and support their just struggle. He expressed concern over the lukewarm attitude of UN and other international humanitarian organizations who failed to take cognizance of this situation which is tantamount to give India free hand to continue its brutality.
He told that business community of Faisalabad fully support their Kashmiris brothers who are ready to sacrifice their life for an independent homeland. Meanwhile, students and staff members of National Textile University gathered to signify Pakistan's commitment to Kashmiris in their genuine longstanding struggle for right to self-determination. University students while sympathising with Kashmiris strongly condemned the brutal behaviour, ongoing state terrorism, violence and discriminatory use of forces by the neighbouring country's forces.
Officials of National Textile University demonstrated their allegiance with Kashmiris by wearing black bands. A special dua was offered after Jummah prayer for the safety of Kashmiris and their freedom.
Moreover, a walk was taken out within campus with the aim to express solidarity and condemn the recent atrocities by Indian forces in the Occupied Kashmir. Participants were shouting that the sacrifices of Kashmiris will never go wasted. Kashmir will win its freedom.
On this occasion Dr Zafar Javed, Registrar, Dr Zulfiqar Director Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Zabihullah Khan, Controller of Examinations and other faculty members, staff members and students were also present in the Solidarity walk. The JI members also participated in rallies and walks arranged in the city to condemn the Indian brutalities.
