The Cambridge Assessment International Education with the British Council hosted a Cambridge Principals' Forum in Lahore which was attended by principals and representatives from Cambridge Associate schools. The event discussed important developments in the Cambridge curriculum, including Cambridge O Levels, IGCSE and Cambridge International AS and A Levels, which are taken by the students in over 600 schools of Pakistan.
Development Division Director at Cambridge Assessment International Education Claudia Bickford-Smith presented the key session 'From Paper to Pixel', where she explained how the Cambridge International was innovating in the areas of onscreen testing and reporting. She also highlighted some of the challenges of implementing new technologies on a global scale. This includes maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and robustness for all of Cambridge's 10,000 schools in more than 160 countries.
In a later presentation, International Network Director at Cambridge International Janet Morris explained the thinking behind the five elements that lie at the heart of a Cambridge education - international curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment, international recognition and global community.
Speaking to the gathering about Cambridge programmes and qualifications, Uzma Yousuf, country director of the Pakistan Cambridge International said, "Cambridge International not only provides exceptional prospects for students but also develops their analytical and critical thinking skills, which are critical for success at university and in life."
Taken by a growing number of students across Pakistan, Cambridge exams are managed by the British Council.
