On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,351. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.318 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,107.
Major business was contributed by gold PKR 1.251 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 820.591 million, DJ PKR 727.478 million, silver PKR 522.463 million, WTI crude oil PKR 493.512 million, platinum PKR 239.591 million, NSDQ100 PKR 125.259 million, natural gas PKR 71.507 million, copper PKR 29.809 million, Brent crude oil PKR 20.880 million and SP500 PKR 16.027 million. In agricultural commodities 2 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 0.892 million were traded.
