As many as 4,33,437 patients of heart diseases are provided medical treatment at out patients department and 1342 cardiac surgeries are carried out in Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology (FIC) during last year. This was informed by MS Dr Rai Zulfiqar in a briefing. Giving details of one year performance of, MS FIC informed that during the period the angiography of 7076 patients and angioplasty of 1638 patients were done in institution.
He told that 16512 patients were treated in emergency admission while 96005 heart patients were given medicine from emergency outdoor besides 7955 patients had been admitted indoor, similarly 51145 Echocardiography were done.
He told 250-bed hospital has 14 different departments and best medical treatment facilities at emergency department, OPD, CCU, ICU, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Exercise Tolerance Test (ETT), Pathology Theatres, Radiology and other departments are available in the FIC.
