Accountability Court No.2 Karachi today awarded conviction to one Hussain Bux Baloch in Reference No.20/2015 for imprisonment to 7 years. Accused was former Special Prosecutor of NAB and currently advocate Supreme Court. He was charged of misuse authority and connivance with accused persons in 14 cases of acquittals in which he deliberately failed to apply certified copies of judgments on time and thus failing to file appeals in High Court and Supreme Court.
Due to his failure to file appeals in 14 cases, loss of millions was caused to national exchequer. The conviction awarded to him also includes fine equivalent to financial liabilities in such 14 cases in which he failed to file appeals. The accused was arrested and shifted to central jail.-PR
