Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) is in process of amending Chapter 5 (Listing of Companies and Securities Regulations) of PSX Regulations pursuant to promulgation of Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations 2017 which have come into force from January 01, 2018.
The PSX has advised all listed companies to note that a few provisions of Code of Corporate Governance for Listed Companies prescribed under Clause 5.19 of PSX Regulations have not been incorporated in the Code of Corporate Governance Regulations, PSX said in a notice to all listed companies issued here on Thursday.
Keeping in view that such provisions pertain to the trading aspects at the Securities Exchange, PSX in consultation with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has decided to retain such provisions in PSX Regulations while remove all other provisions of Code from Chapter 5 of PSX Regulations.
"In this regard, all listed companies are advised to note that the existing Clause 5.19.13(c), 5.19.15 and 5.19.23 of PSX Regulations shall remain applicable and in force in addition to Code of Corporate Governance Regulations", PSX said.
