As many as eight players have been added in different categories of participating teams of HBL-PSL 2018. The players were added to the squad as per the decision taken at the PSL franchise stakeholder meeting held in Lahore. The players are: Salman Irshad (Lahore Qalandars, Talent Hunt); Mohammad Taha (Karachi Kings, Emerging); Imran Khan Jr. (Lahore Qalandars, Silver); Rohail Nazir (Islamabad United, Emerging); Mushtaq Ahmed Kalhoro (Karachi Kings, Talent Hunt); Mohammad Junaid (Quetta Gladiators, Talent Hunt); Khushdil Shah (Peshawar Zalmi, Emerging) and Shan Masood (Multan Sultans, Silver).
The pool of available players included unselected players from the HBL PSL Draft, players brought in through scouting and talent hunt campaigns, and players who took part in the National T20 Cup held in Rawalpindi last month.
