The trading community of district Malakand observed shutter-down against the replacement of the traditional Levies Force with regular police and likely extension of tax laws to the area. On the occasion, all business centres in the district including renowned Bara Market Sakhakot and Dargai remained closed.
In this connection, the trading community of Sakhakot led by president, Muthahida Trade Union, Hameed Khan Lalal also took out a rally. Those who participated were included PPP MPA Syed Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, district president, ANP Shafiullah Khan, Maulana Jamaluddin (JI), Haji Mohammad Irshad (PML-N), Sabz Ali Khan (PTI), Tehsil Nazim, Abdurashid Bhutto and Naib Nazim Haji Azam Khan. The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the deployment of regular police force and levy of taxes in the area.
