KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wassan, has called for effectively controlling the street crimes as well as mobile and vehicle snatching.
He issued directives to this effect to the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Inspector General of Police Sindh and Additional IG Karachi.
A statement here on Monday said that Wassan called for further activating Madadgar 15, Thana and Special Branch Police.
It said that the Minister expressed concern at street crimes, looting in public transport and snatching of vehicles and added that these directly affect the commonman.
He further directed that an effective strategy be adopted for curbing such crimes.
Wassan instructed that there be deployment of plainclothed policemen besides coordinated police checking and patrolling in order to give sense of protection to the people.
He also directed that prompt notice be taken of the public complaints.
