The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide technical assistance to convert 40 government colleges of technologies into solar technology system.
The details of the project will soon be finalized with the ADB. It was stated by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while talking with the mission of Asian Development Bank during visit here on Thursday at TEVTA Secretariat.
The mission members included Principal Education Specialist Norman LaRocque and International Consultants Arif Amin.
Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, TEVTA Officers Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Bushra Akhtar, Waheed Asghar, Aisha Qazi, and Sarfraz Anwar were also present on this occasion.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that TEVTA is providing latest training to the youth with the collaboration of national and international organization.
The ADB can also play its role to technical education and vocational training system across the province of the Punjab. Delegation appreciated the efforts of TEVTA to improve the skilful training for youth being imparted at TEVTA Institutes.
He also briefed the mission that a modern system of competence based training and assessment has been launched in lines of international standard.
Chairperson TEVTA further said that various options to support Industry-institute linkage, teachers training and placement of TEVTA pass-outs across the province of the Punjab were also discussed in detail. Collaboration of ADB will help out for skill up gradation in the province of the Punjab. Industry Partnership Program has also successfully been launched in order to provide quality technical education as per demand of industry.
