Huge quantity of cigarettes seized

Directorate of Intelligence & Intelligence Inland Revenue (IR) Hyderabad Thursday conducted raid and seized huge number of counterfeit and duty/taxes unpaid cigarettes in Hyderabad city.
According to the details, the regional directorate of IR has also recovered fake manufacturing of tea under various brands.
The team under instructions of Director I&I Hyderabad Dr M Aslam Marri, Deputy Director Mumtaz Thebo conducted raid in Liaqat Colony and seized thousands of counterfeit cigarettes. Also a vehicle full of non-duty paid cigarettes was taken into custody at Hirabad, Hyderabad.
Inquiry in the matter is under way by the regional directorate of IR.
