Operation in Punjab: Rangers kill four terrorists, detain 600 suspects

Four terrorists were killed in exchange of fire with personnel of Punjab Rangers while over 600 suspects including a few Afghan nationals apprehended as operation Radd-ul-Fasaad continues. According to details, Punjab Rangers carried out over 200 raids as part of the ongoing countrywide Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, the military''s spokesman said on Saturday. "Punjab Rangers conducted over 200 search operations in various areas of Punjab including Karor, Layyah and Rawalpindi," the ISPR states.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, as many as four terrorists were killed and more than 600 suspects, including Afghan nationals, were apprehended in search operations conducted in various areas of Punjab. Those who are arrested include facilitators of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), which has claimed responsibility for the recent spate of terrorist attacks across the country. Weapons and extremist material have also been recovered during the raids on houses, seminaries and shops suspected of being used by terrorists as hideouts.
"Suspected houses, seminaries and shops were searched. Four terrorists got killed in exchange of fire while over 600 suspects including a few Afghans were apprehended. Extremist material and weapons were recovered. A few facilitators of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar were also arrested," the ISPR maintained.
