I am pleased to note that a robust and comprehensive programme as ABILITIES EXPO 2017 is being organized by the Special Education Department, Government of Sindh for the welfare and progression of Special Children to portray and showcase their development as a useful citizen of the society. I am also aware that Special Education Department envisions responding to the social and educational needs of all communities and age groups irrespective of their financial status.
It is the duty of the Government to give special attention to those who are disadvantaged in the society due to physical or mental disability. I appreciate the initiatives of the Government of Sindh as well as that of Special Education Department in organizing the event which is the first of its kind in any province of Pakistan and will go a long way to strategize and streamline the academics and extra-curricular syllabus for special people on modern and sophisticated lines. This Expo provides a platform for Public-Private Partnership as many NGOs and corporate sector are participating in it. Since the Special Education Department has taken a lead in its organization, I wish them good luck with the hope that the ABILITIES EXPO would be a regular annual event of Special Education Departments calendar for all future times.
