On Thursday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,134. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.21 billion and the number of lots traded was 21,381. Major business was contributed bygold amounting to PKR 3.17 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 2.31 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 2.08 billion, silver PKR 520.53 million, copper PKR 105.01 million and Brent crude oil PKR 5.65 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 5 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.99 million was also traded.
