The Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank Kristalina Georieva, during a meeting with the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, said, "The Punjab Government has shown wonderful performance in different sectors under yours leadership and, you are doing a wonderful job to empower the youth in the Punjab. I am impressed by your marvelous performance in education sector; similarly, I am impressed by your performance in health care sector. Especially, a best programme has been launched under health insurance scheme to provide health care services to the poor people."
While talking to Shahbaz Sharif, she said, "You are working with commitment for the progress and prosperity of the people of the province, and I am impressed by yours vision." She said that 6 cent and tariff in 100 megawatt solar project is a wonderful achievement for which I congratulate you. It has been heard that on one side planning is finalized in your leadership, and on the other side, the project is materialized. No doubt, you are serving the people of province dedicatedly, she added.
She said the Punjab government has done a wonderful job by saving billions of Rupees in orange line metro train; and for that, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif deserves accolades. She said, "I commend your passion for providing technical skills to the maximum number of youth and assure that World Bank would provide necessary cooperation in this regard."
