After a year-long project to completely revamp & modernise the former Noon Pakistan Ltd, the Fauji Foods Limited (FFL) dairy processing facility has been inaugurated on Friday. This is a state of the art dairy processing facility, first of its kind in Pakistan and1 employs One-Step UHT Technology and Packaging Machines, erected in partnership with the leading technology experts Tetra Pak & Ecolean.
Chairman Fauji Foods Limited, Lieutenant General Khalid Nawaz Khan (Retd} inaugurated the newly revamped facility; also present were CE&MD FFL, Lieutenant General Muhammad Haroon Aslam (Retd), CE&MD (designate) FFL Lieutenant General Javed lqbal (retd) and the COO FFL, Aatif Nadeer.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General Khalid Nawaz (retd), Chairman Fauji Foods stated "It gives me great satisfaction that Fauji Foods follows the same core value of the Fauji Foundation - giving back to the community by not only providing job opportunities at the grass root level but also giving quality products for the end consumer".
It is worthwhile to note that the new management has rejuvenated Nurpur as The House of Nurpur after improving its quality and packaging. Moreover, new product extensions are in the pipeline to further strengthen the portfolio. In addition, a new brand in Tea Creaming segment has been launched with the name of Dostea, to cater to the mass market. This announcement comes as yet another chapter in story of Fauji Food's meteoric rise in the dairy segment.
While commenting on the completion of this project, CE&MD Lieutenant General M Haroon Aslam highlighted that the timely success of this project will help ensure Fauji Foods to compete with the best international and local food companies in terms of quality & achieve its vision of transforming lives through nourishment.
"Our team has worked very hard, using the best global practices & technology to bring us at par with the industry leaders," said the COO, Aatif Nadeer. He further added that a wholesome product portfolio gives us the opportunity to develop and launch new products.
It will be recalled that Nurpur, a household dairy brand in Pakistan since 1966, was acquired by Fauji Foods, a new subsidiary of the Fauji Group, in 2016. Since then the company and its offerings have undergone several improvements in terms of quality capacity & safety, with the manufacturing and production expertise of the Group helping guide this growth.-PR
