It is indeed a matter of great honour for us that the Millat Tractor has developed Green Tractor, first of its kind in the Tractor Industry. The achievement by the Millat Tractor, the largest manufacturer of Tractors in the country, is all the more remarkable because the green engine has been manufactured by exploiting indigenous technological resources and locally available expertise of the vending industry strictly in accordance with approved international emission standards making it environment friendly.
The realisation of the dream is the result of the vision of the top management of the Millat Tractors and hard work of its engineers and workers. Millat Tractors, with 5 decades of proven experience in innovative machinery and exposure in international market in terms of products of internationally compliant standards, have taken the lead in making its tractors compliant with any new laws to be promulgated in the future. Moreover, this will also increase their export potential to target new markets regulated by international emission standards.
There is no gainsaying to the fact that agriculture in the backbone of our economy to ensure food security. About 67% of the population is engaged in farming directly or indirectly through production, processing and distribution of major agriculture commodities. 21% of the GDP is contributed by the agriculture sector which employs 67% of the rural population. 60% of the industry is agro based. One can well imagine the vitality of the improved version of the Engine so intensively used in a sector of the economy which is the mainstay of our food basket.
Millat Tractor, being the pioneer tractor manufacturing organisation of Pakistan, has played a significant role towards introduction and enhancement of farm mechanisation in the country and bringing the green revolution in Pakistan. I would urge the engineers of the Millat Tractor to further explore the digital use of agriculture computer system and software to enable the operators to monitor linked equipment, animal location, supply quantities, new features and multiple use of the machine. This will not only improve the functionality of the machine but also further reduce the labour cost and enhance input precision. I am confident that the Millat Tractor will come up with more innovative solutions to the emerging needs of agriculture sector and the industry. We are all justified in taking pride in the achievement of the company.
