Dense fog across plain areas alerted

The Met Office on Saturday alerted the citizens to dense fog across the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh in the next 24 hours. The foggy condition will prevail during the night and morning hours in the plains. However, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country over the period. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," the Met said.
Temperature in Skardu was minus eight, Hunza minus seven, Gupis and Gilgit minus five, each, Bagrote, Parachinar and Kalam minus three, each, and Kalat minus two in the last 24 hours. In the next 48 hours: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country. Dense foggy conditions are likely to continue over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
