KU awards 33 M Phil & 14 PhD degrees

University of Karachi has decided to confer 33 M.Phil and 14 Ph.D. degrees, said Registrar of the institution, Professor Dr Mozzam Ali Khan, on Wednesday. He said that a decision to this effect was taken at the meeting of the University's Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR). The meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Qaiser.
The Ph.D. degrees are to be awarded to Uzma Salar from Chemistry (HEJ), Ghulam Mustafa from Chemistry, Zafar Ali Shah from Chemistry (HEJ), Amtyaz from Zoology, Dr Syed Mehmood Hasan from Environmental Studies, Sumeira Moin from Botany, Muhammad Yousuf Adnan from Botany (ISHU), Abdul Hameed from Molecular Medicine, Arshia from Chemistry (HEJ), Mammona Khanam from Law, Sadia Anjum from Biotechnology (|KIBGE), Uzma Mahmood from Chemistry, Liaquat Ali from Law and Shahnila Naz from Pakistan Studies.
