Staff of the Town Planning Wing of Lahore Development Authority sealed seven marriage halls, situated along Ferozepur Road on Monday, during its ongoing drive against violation of building regulations.
Neither building plans for construction of these marriage halls had been got approved by LDA nor construction of such structures on these plots was permissible as per building regulations. The sealed marriage halls included Open marriage hall, Arooj marriage hall, Anam marriage hall, Silk Event marriage hall, Qasar-e-noor marriage hall, Noor Mahal marriage hall and Umar marriage hall.
Meanwhile the LDA staff demolished an illegally under- construction commercial type shed, to develop a restaurant, on residential plot No 51 block L, Johar Town near Khokhar Chowk. Meanwhile, Additional Director General (HQ), Lahore Development Authority Samia Saleem has entrusted the additional charge of the post of Deputy Director (Procurement) in Directorate of C&I to Hina Rukh, Deputy Director Admn-II.
