Eight dead after consuming toxic liquor

At least eight people died and about 20 others were hospitalised after they consumed intoxicated liquor here on Monday. Police said that members of Christian community hailing from Christian Colony of Toba Tek Singh consumed liquor which turned toxic due to unknown reasons. Eight people died of the toxic liquor while 20 others were hospitalised after their condition deteriorated.
Among the affectees, 10 were under treatment at District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, while eight others were referred to Allied Hospital Faisalabad due to their critical condition.
