Nearly 13 flights were cancelled while another six delayed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday owing to technical faults and weather conditions. According to the flight enquiry sources, the Lahore-Karachi bound PK-415, Karachi-Lahore bound PK-316, Karachi-Lahore bound PK-312 and Lahore-Sukkur bound PK-594, Sukkur-Lahore bound PK-595, Lahore-Dera Ghazi Khan bound PK-651, Dera Ghazi Khan-Lahore bound PK-652, Lahore-Islamabad bound PK-652, Islamabad-Lahore bound PK-657 while Lahore-Masqat bound flights 450, 451 and Sharja-Lahore bound 413 of Airblue were cancelled on Friday.
In addition, six flights of PIA to various destinations were delayed. The airport sources said the flight operation at the Karachi airport was also disrupted for a while due to bad weather.
