New UBL Head Office Inaugurated

The new UBL Head Office was inaugurated by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, UAE, on December 19, 2016. Mr Ashraf Mahmood Wathra, Governor, State Bank of Pakistan was also present at the occa-sion along with Sir Mohammed Anwar Pervez, OBE, HPk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of UBL and Bestway Group UK, Mr Zameer Mohammed Choudrey, CBE, Director UBL, Mr Wajahat Husain, President & CEO, UBL and prominent personalities.
The new UBL Head Office building is located on I. I. Chundrigar Road, in the heart of Kara-chi's vibrant financial district. Rising 300 feet in the sky, the 22-storey skyscraper features state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology in its modern design. The 200 feet tall atrium of this building is the tallest enclosed space of its kind in Pakistan and its unique advanced fa-cade lighting illuminates the city skyline at night, further highlighting Karachi's iden-tity as 'The City of Lights'.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr Waja-hat Husain, President & CEO UBL said "UBL, Pakistan's Best Bank 2016, has come to be acknowledged as a Progres-sive and Innovative bank. These two at-tributes of the Bank have propelled the institution in taking a lead in financial inclusion and economic development of Pakistan. UBL's new Head Office building is a dynamic symbol of the transformation that UBL has under-gone in the last 14 years and stands tall as a physical embodiment of our role as leaders in the financial ser-vices sector of Pakistan."
