Pakistan Army Friday promoted seven major generals including Major General Bilal Akbar Director General Rangers (Sindh) and IG FC Balochistan, Sher Afgun to Lieutenant General. The decision has been taken by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Jawed Bajwa. According to ISPR, Major General Nadeem Raza is working as Commandant PMA.
Major General Humayun Aziz, Director General W&R at GHQ, Major General Naeem Ashraf National Defence University, Major General Muhammad Afzal, Director General Frontier Works Organisation and Major General Qazi Ikram, Director General PS at GHQ. Chief of Army Staff (COA) on Friday also visited ISI Headquarter. He was given briefing on internal and external security situation of the country. According to ISPR, Director General ISI Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar briefed the army chief that the spy agency was playing an imperative role in war against terrorism and safeguarding the national interest.
