EPD directs shifting industrial unit

LAHORE: Environment Protection Department (EPD) of the City District Government Lahore on Thursday, issued directions to a shoe manufacturing unit to shift from residential area.

According to EPD sources,in the area of Batapur,Pel shoe manufacturing unit was working without any management system and was causing noise and vibration. The residents of the area had filed complaints with EPD.

EPD issued directions to the owner under section 146-2 of the Punjab Local Government Ordinance-2001 to shift the unit from residential area to some other place.
