The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 9396.38 million. The schemes were approved in the 29th meeting of the PDWP of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
A P&DD spokesman said here on Friday, the approved development schemes included remodelling and extension of Tayyab Drain (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1324.365 million, feasibility study for construction of Kas Umar Khan Canal System (Detailed Engineering designs project preparation) PC-II at the cost of Rs 122.687 million, project preparation of the Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Investment Program (PC-II) (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1221.000 million, channelisation of Deg Nullah (Land Acquisition Punjab Component) at the cost of Rs 3442.854 million and Widening and Improvement of Main Road Sheikhupura at the cost of Rs 3285.474 million.
