144 cell phones worth Rs 1.2 million seized, one held

Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Preventive on Thursday claimed to have seized 144 cell phones worth Rs 1.2 million from a passenger. According to customs officials, the staff posted at Jinnah International Airport intercepted a passenger namely Asim, who returned from UAE via PIA flight PK-214. On his refusal to have any contraband goods in his possession, the staff has examined his luggage that led the recovery of 144 cell phones worth Rs 1.2 million. Consequent upon recovery, a case has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway.
