FPCCI congratulates Trump

Shaikh Khalid Tawab Sr. Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulated the newly elected 45th Republican President of USA Donald Trump. While referring to the history of USA's Presidents he recalled the policies of Republican's Presidents had always been Pakistan's friendly with the view to consolidate its economy and prosperity.
He hoped that during the tenure of Trump the cordial relations, including the trade and economic relations, between both the countries would be further strengthened and USA would continue its support to Pakistan in war against terrorism. He said that Donald Trump would appreciate the Pakistan for its active role played as a frontline state in war against terror and the sacrifices given by its arm forces and people.
He informed that USA is the largest trading partner of Pakistan and the volume of trade between both the nations is more than US $5.5 billion which mainly consists of import of textile from Pakistan.
The SVP of FPCCI hoped that the new President of USA would not only expand the scope of GSP by including textile and leather items in it but also extend its deadline beyond 2017. He said that now the USA under the leadership of new President would help in resolving the regional issues and usher of new era of global peace and economic prosperity. -PR
