Senate Committee on Human Rights summoned representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Information with a warning that if they don't take it seriously, the committee will move a Privileged Motion against the matter of Axact Company/Bol TV Network.
The committee was chaired by Senator Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, and attended by Senator Farhatullah Babar, Senator Samina Abhi, Senator Mufti Abdul Sattar, Senator Dr Jehanzeb Jamaldini, Senator Sitara Ayaz and SAFRON secretary Tariq Hayat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Law shakeel Nadir Khan, member National Commission for Human Rights Fazeela Alyati, Pemra General Managers Chaudhry Shafiq and Nasir Ayub, president PFUJ Afzal Butt, Bol TV Nazir Legari, Faisal Aziz Khan and Sabokh Syed.
Senator Farhatullah Babar, member committee suggested to refer the case to the Senate Chairman since Ministry of Interior (MOI) officials did not appear even after being notified.
The committee observed that unless and until officials of Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Information attend the session, the issues regarding Bol TV re-launching, salary issues of employees or Axact Company cannot be solved.
