At least five terrorists were killed when security forces repulsed an attack by on a check post at Karappa area of Tehsil Pindyali, Mohmand Agency. According to details, the security forces have also recovered weapons and ammunition from terrorists' possession. The security forces launched search operation in the area after this incident.
Earlier on Thursday, at least nine Khasadar paramilitary personnel were martyred in two separate attacks in the volatile north-western region. Two members of the Khasadar paramilitary force on guard duty were shot dead, followed by an attack on a village check-post in Akar that killed seven.
Meanwhile, Counter Terrorism Department arrested a key terrorist, target killer and extortionist of Liyari Gang war Baba Ladla group, Rashid Baloch alias Rashid Chichi, during a raid at Kohat road in Peshawar. He managed to escape from Karachi due to Rangers' operation and was living in Peshawar. He was planning to flee abroad and had applied for passport at Passport Office Peshawar.
