KARACHI: Home Minister Sindh Manzoor Hussain Wassan Thursday chaired a meeting in context with the incidents of killings of lawyers in the metropolis.
The meeting reviewed law and order situation and discussed measures to contain incidents of target killing and provision of security to lawyers.
The meeting reviewed reports,presented by the concerned officials regarding recent incidents of sectarian and target killings and decided that investigation of such incidents will be carried out on scientific lines to ensure early arrest of the culprits involved in the killings.
It was decided that Rs 1 million will be awarded for providing information leading to clue of accused involved in incident of Wednesday that left three lawyers dead.The identity of such person will be kept secret and security will also be provided to him.
The meeting also reviewed security arrangements for Rabi-ul-Awwal programmes and decided that fool proof security will be provided to the participants of the processions, to be taken out on the eve of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The meeting was attended among others by the Additional Secretary (Home) Waseem Ahmed, IGP Syed Mushtaq Shah and DIGs of all zones of the city.
