Germany will not promise what it can't deliver: Merkel

DAVOS: Germany has already demonstrated its dermination to play its full part in combatting the eurozone crisis but will not promise things it cannot deliver, Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday.

"We have said right from the start that we want to stand up for the euro, but what we don't want is a situation where we are forced to promise something that we will not be able to fulfill," she said at the Davos forum in Switzerland.
