ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday said the World Economic Forum offers a good opportunity to project Pakistan's economy which has registered a comeback, as most of indicators suggest that the economy was performing well despite global recession.
Pakistan is well placed to convince the international investors to invest in Pakistan as it is the best destination to do business, he maintained.
The Prime Minister said this during a meeting with Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, who called on him here at the PM House and briefed him about the upcoming visit to Davos.
Prime Minister's meetings with other leaders of various countries including engagements with investors, businessmen and international media organizations were also discussed.
The Foreign Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the overall regional situation with special reference to relations with Afghanistan and the United States.
The Foreign Minister gave reference to the recommendations of the Envoy's Conference, Islamabad, and also of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security regarding the formulation of new rules of engagements with the United States/ISAF.
