ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Monday said that the caretaker government should be questioned about the scarcity of power as Pakistan Muslim League Government (PML-N) government had left sufficient power while leaving the government on completion of five-year tenure.
In an informal chat with media he said, there was no load shedding during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and "we are only responsible for our tenure."
He said former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Shahbaz Sharfi had inaugurated several power generation projects even during the last week of their government.
PML-N had constructed, hospitals, colleges, universities during its five years tenure, whereas opposition parties did nothing during their respective tenures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh provinces.
He said no government had ever bothered to construct Motorway and people should evaluate who had exterminated the menace of load shedding and who plunged the country into darkness. There should be no delay in completion of Multan- Sukkur Motorway .
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of Imran Khan did nothing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during its five years rule. He said the journey to Chitral has been reduced from 24 hours to 12 hours as a result of completion of Lowari Tunnel by PML-N government. He said Neelum-Jhelum, Tarbela extension and Kichhi Kenal projects are historic.
