59 more dengue cases surface in Karachi

KARACHI: As many as 59 more dengue fever cases were detected throughout Karachi in a week, taking the reported cases toll to 402 since 1st January 2018.

According to a weekly report issued by Prevention and Control Program for Dengue in Sindh, 60 new dengue fever cases surfaced throughout Sindh province out of which 59 were in Karachi and one in other district of the province.

In May, a total of 139 dengue positive cases were reported in Sindh out of which 132 were from Karachi and seven from other districts of province.

This year, a total of 427 dengue cases have been detected across Sindh province out of them 402 from Karachi and 25 from rest of province.  A death was also reported in Karachi this year.
